Against the Storm is heading to consoles, bringing the acclaimed roguelite city builder to PS5 and PS4 on 26th June 2025.

Released on PC to very strong reviews (and a Steam user rating of Overwhelmingly Positive), the game will soon be on Sony's systems, bringing over its unique spin on the genre.

Essentially, the game is about constructing small settlements in a mysterious, procedurally generated forest, and turning them into thriving economies that can survive the inevitable storm.

You'll only have certain buildings to choose from in a given run, and each one can produce goods at varying efficiencies. On top of that, the species that populate your towns have likes and dislikes; if you fulfil their wants, their mood will improve and they'll work harder.

You must meet certain objectives before you move onto your next settlement and things get tougher. When you inevitably lose, you'll be able to use certain resources to unlock permanent upgrades, allowing you to gradually improve your chances each time.

Given the game's great reception, we're intrigued to see how this one holds up on consoles. It very much looks built for keyboard and mouse, so hopefully it'll play nicely on a controller too.
